I'm planning on doing a 3 course meal for my boyfriend on Sunday and I just wondered whether it would be adequate ;D
    What I'm thinking is...
Starter - Roasted Tomato and Créme fraiche soup
Main - Salmon with garlic and herbs, with green beans and new potatoes
Dessert - Fondue set from thorntons, with some fresh fruit (kinda cheating I know, but it looked really nice)

    What do you think?

    Sounds good :yep:
    Mmmmmm chocolate

I hinted to my other half that he should cook to save us going out, as I'm in Berlin on Sunday, and out until 10 on Saturday night...

But no. We're going out for a meal at 10.30.

Yeahh, we were originally going to end up going out, but I haven't really had time to find anything really special for him (having a lot going on at home at the minute) so I thought it'd be nice to cook him a meal.
The thorntons dipping set looks really nice, its in my kitchen 'til Sunday, keep wanting to open it.
And he can have a sandwich if he really wants, haha.

This doesn't mean that you're cancelling March 14th for him does it?

    I agree, well done you!

Mine is abroad on V-day but, I've gone and sent him a MASSIVE card to the hotel where he's staying! (He goes to the same place every year so they know who he is).

Wish I could cook those things, I can only do basic stuff like carbonara and casserole...

    MMM...!!
Just started slimming world so I'm cooking for the other half of me:
    Starter: Tomato and garlic ciabattas
Main: Spag bol with garlic bread
Dessert: Strawberry sorbet and fresh fruit

Trying to appeal to his Italian roots and trying to cook healthy, think I've done okay tbh!

If you wanted suggestions - the soup would be nice with some really good, thick crusty bread, and lots of butter! I was going to say herbs - something like basil - but tbh you've got herbs in the main so it may be too much. I like some form of sauce on my salmon.. perhaps a white wine base or creamy or something similar :yep: And d'know what tastes good with chocolate fountains? Hula Hoops

Mind you.. I know absolutely nothing about cooking.

I'm terrible at cooking steak haha, plus I know he likes salmon and stuff.
The bread sounds like a good idea, it'd be proper nice, theres going to be lots of food
@Samandre, that sounds really nice, I like the idea of the sorbet

Replace salmon with steak and that would be perfect, though obviously if he likes salmon then that sounds like a nice meal !
