Just been rejected by Loughborough for Accounting and on the AS4 letter, the reason given is "application incomplete". Surely a mistake has been made. I've had other offers so its not possible I've missed something out. I'm not sure what I should do now.

    Ask them about it?

Call them or email them for some clarification.

Well yes I have emailed them. Can they identify me through my email though? My UCAS application that is.

You can check the entire application on ucas track by going to the main menu and then view all. I'd give the university a ring tomorrow and I'm sure they will explain the problem.

If you give them your UCAS personal identifier they can.

Theres nothing missing from my application and I've already got offers so its impossible for that to be the case.

Can I just ask though, whats normally written as the reason for rejection?

Haha thats the first thought that popped in my head too but it'd be ludicrous to word it like that. I meet their conditions and I'm an international but I think I applied way too late, like a day before the deadline so thats probably the reason.

The other universities could have overlooked something. You don't usually get a reason as such, unless you contact the university yourself. My AS4 just said 'your application has been unsuccessful'. I'm sure the university will reply quickly; perhaps it was just a mistake on their behalf.

But you still applied before the deadline! Hm. I don't know. Strange one. Hope they reply to your email. I would phone but I know it would be a hassle cause you're an international student... anyways, good luck.

Ask the uni. If your application is incomplete they may reconsider if you supply the missing information, or if it isn't they may reconsider once you point that out. Otherwise, they may have picked the wrong reason and will explain what the real reason was.

Maybe because you are an international there was something extra you needed to do to apply to those particular unis??

No? I'm staying put, doesn't mean I can't help other people on their applications.

Still haven't got a reply back from Loughborough. I'm really gutted right now because Loughborough was probably going to be my firm.
