Should I text him? (Quick, stupid and trivial question probably) watch

Hey, basically I was going out with a guy from my group of friends for about 3 months, dating for another month before that. We didn't know each other well beforehand but we are now properly in the same group and all go out Saturday nights. He finished it last Tuesday in seriously the nicest possible way, so I basically said to come up to mine still on Saturday when we were all going out (7 of us I think). I was fairly drunk by the time he got there and so didn't really speak to him and don't remember much of the night anyway. I haven't heard from him since, and am worried that things are going to be incredibly awkward and that he'll not come along for nights out any more (we usually start at my flat). I miss his friendship more than anything else but have never been in a situation where I've wanted to be friends with an ex.

So my simple question is - should I text him just now just saying "hey, how are you?" to break the ice?

Honestly... maybe he's a little freaked out right now. Maybe wait until saturday to see if he comes out, if not, you could text him, just to break the ice. Good luck.

yess you seem to be in the right frame of mind after a break up it would probably become more awkward if you didnt speak for ages and then found yourself in group gatherings,

Just wait and see if he comes this saturday. If he doesn't, or you don't speak to him, text him then.

I don't see what harm it would cause.

Well I sent one just now saying basically hi and asked if he'd got any exam results back yet. At least now the ball's in his court, whereas before I think, knowing the kind of guy he is, he'd possibly been keeping his distance so as not to cross any lines or whatever. Meh, its so much easier when guy's are pricks at the end of relationships lol

I just got the impression that last saturday it was awkward with him because of your drunkeness. But I'd say just wait til saturday, if he doesnt turn up, text him. If he does, just try to speak to him normally.
