    Hi
I have a student account and a savings account, both with Lloyds tsb.
I also have a yorkshire bank account... but ive not used that in years.

So i just want to know how many accounts an average student has, or should have...

Also my student account is used for almost everything like shopping, grants, work pay... and im feeling a little stupid about that, so i want to open another, in the next couple of weeks, but i dont know what type or which one. (im reading up on that :p: )

I just have the one. A flexaccount with Nationwide (with an e-savings account attached). At the mo all the interest rates are terrible so there's not much point in having lots of accounts

One current account. Had a savings account before with really good interest but they closed down. I'd recommend accounts that have online banking though, easier to organise payments etc.

    I have:

    1 NatWest Student Account
1 NatWest Cash ISA - currently 3% interest woop!
    1 NatWest Student Credit Card

I love having everything with one bank, and all done through online banking. It makes everything much much simpler, faster and easier.

    Also have but don't use:
    1 Alliance and Leicester eSaver
    1 Britannia Savings Account
    1 HSBC Current Account

    1x HSBC Student Account
1x HSBC ISA (currently with only £10 after the interest rate took a flying leap off a cliff)
2x HSBC High Interest Deposit Bond (one has inheritance, the other savings)
1x Halifax Current Account (I think, its virtually empty and never used)

Having it all with the same bank and using online banking is very convenient and HSBC have always had exceptional service I have found.

I have 2 that are for under-18s that I need to close 'cause it's been months since I turned 18 THANKS FOR REMINDING ME, one which has savings and one which was for my wages at the time. I also have a current account for my current wages but I need to open a savings one with the same bank to move my savings into. Basically I have too many accounts with too much money in. I will remember this feeling...

    Riveting stuff.

How the piss do people have more than three? That's simply unnecessary.

I have three that I use actively. Savers, ISA, and current, all with Natwest. I also have a Nationwide Savings account, though haven't used it for years and can't be bothered shutting it down.

    So yeah, three.

I have one ISA, one current (student) account and one national savings and investment account which i dont use much.

I'd say not to get too many as it can spiral out of control.

How did you manage to open up two student accounts? I opened a student account with Natwest, and i was going to change my current account with Lloyds to a student account, but i was under the impression that they wouldn't allow you to have more than one student account. (I'm not suspicious, i just wondered if they actually took any notice of how many student accounts the person has).
