Does anyone know what happened to that programme? It used to be broadcast every friday on BBC 1 and suddenly they stopped. Last episode that was on was series 38, episode 8, broadcast on the 11th of December.

If it was, surely they would have announced it somewhere?

It would be quite sad, it's one of the best satire programs on the BBC.

no, i mean the series finished.
its not a year round thing, they have two or three series a year, and interchange it with all the other panel shows, QI, mock the week, would i lie to you etc...

    that's...complicated.

funnily enough, there's still an episode of it on iplayer.

clearly they are on a break, and so are showing repeats until they have new episodes

It's called ending the series and not being at the point in time when the next one has started yet.

You can't expect them to film new episodes every week all year round...

How is that at all complicated? All tv shows work this way, particularly comedy panel shows.

If you look at the episode list on wikipedia, there seems to be 2 series a year, starting in April and October. Series seem to be about 8, 9 or 10 episodes long and the ones that were on before Christmas ran for 9 episodes so it does look like the series ended. If they do another series, I'd look for it around April time.
