We did this excercise at uni, when everyone added up how many calories they'd eaten and were expected to eat tonight- and it was so surprising how many people went over what their reccomended daily intake was!

    So, using this website: http://www.caloriecounting.co.uk/resources/intro.htm

I've worked out around how many calories i've had today and luckily i've been measuring out what im eating too- so it's a bit more accurate! (will be having a meal later and have added this on) as i'm on a diet, i've had 1640kcl today

So whats your number for today?
Do you feel full, satisfied? Do you feel you've eaten right?
How aware are you during the day of your 5 a day, or a balanced diet?
As a student how easy do you consider it to eat healthily, and on a budget?
Not that I really care, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was well into 3000...

880 so far. Haven't had dinner yet. Usually it's about 500 before dinner.
I'm always always hungry but I have a bit of a weight/eating issue. I want to be slim so I make an effort to eat less. I know my diet isn't healthy but I feel guilty if I eat ANYTHING. Even a banana makes me feel fat!
I'd like to cut the amount of wheat and salt I consume, but it's so hard!
I eat way more than 5 a day because I basically live on fruit
Oh and I reckon if you know enough about healthy eating then it's pretty easy to eat healthily WHILST on a budget!

Wow 500 before dinner is dangerously low and fruit contains a lot of sugar so its good in moderation not as a heavy part of your daily diet.

Something in the range of 3400-3800kcal I estimate and tons of protein. Hoping to get my weight up to 100kg by the summer.

    Over nine thousanddddddddddddddddd!!!!!!!! !!!

Jokes. I'm actually unsure, if someone could calculate?

Breakfast: Nothing, just a pint of blackcurrent squash.
Lunch: Two sausage rolls, a bottle of Dr. Pepper.
Dinner: Chicken korma (rice + naan bread), a glass of diet cloudy lemonade.

I'm now going to enjoy a glass of a green Innocent Fruit Smoothie.

On hindsight, I haven't been very nice to myself...

EDIT: How the hell can this thread be a Potential Trigger? It's just asking people, how much they have eated today.
Probably because most girls here are like, 'About 150, omg going to have another 300, there goes the diet!'

    -----

    I've had about 1300:

    Cereal + skimmed milk - 300
    Apple - 80
    Salad thing - 300
    Coffee/tea, with skimmed milk - 30
    Slice of toast - 101
    Baked beans - 144
    Pastry -350

Probably had 4/5 of my fruit and veg (it was a large salad).

~1830. Cereal for breakfast followed by lots of pizza, mmmmm. I'm full, pretty happy. I haven't eaten right by a longshot, but I tend to stick to carbohydrates purely from a blood sugar management point of view, so it suits me. I try to eat semi-healthily, but sometimes there just has to be a pizza day. And I live at home so I don't have to worry about budgets yet :woo:

if you've had lots of pizza im positive you've had more than 1800!

Lol i love how this is a potential trigger- rather worried about the amount of people on here who are having rather low food intakes, are you just not busy? If i dont have a proper breakfast i'm dead by 11am!

You can now add a cadburys flake to my calorie intake for today...so that takes it to around 1100, which as I said is probably a bit more than I usually have.
