how long would it take from

    signing up

until they call me and i get sent there

    i am 19 years old

I want to go out and be in afhganistan, if not fighting, helping out

i have eyeglasses, so this might affect me joining

Otherwise I am in perfect condition

I have also heard that its dangerous because the soldiers breathe in lead from all the metal , and get lead poisoning etc,

Also, how easy is it to get in the army ? I have heard on the news that 18 year olds have been killed, so, they must let young people in .

My main problem is how long I have to wait, if I sign up and they get back to me in six months, It wont be worth it.

is it as simple as going onto army mod website, finding your local army centre, and joining ? then what happens after that

    I am going there tomorrow

yes you can get deployed as soon as youre 18

erm youd need to do basic training (which is something like 16 weeks, dont quote me on that), but basically you should just look on the mod website, its all there
