this is the problem, im not entirely sure...i really need to get properly measured, but i never seem to get round to it. i KNOW the bras i currently wear are too small. but with ans without them my boobs are definitely on the large side.

Well get yourself measured and then come back and see if anyone can recommend you a strapless bra  xx
I'm gonna read this read when I get down about my barely Bs (rarely) I feel great now actually.whatever you do don't get a reduction on the NHS that's just wasteful and greedy.slapping 'God' in the face!

Even when they cause unbearable back pain? you have no idea the problems that can come with having large boobs.

whatever you do don't get a reduction on the NHS that's just wasteful and greedy.

My grandma had a breast reduction on the NHS because she developed chronic back pain. My friend's mother had a breast reduction on the NHS because her spine gradually became curved over with the weight of her breasts.

You have no idea how much damage large breasts can do to your spine. The constant weight pulling your shoulders down and forward can potentially be crippling.

I'm pretty sure if you hit the gym, you can shed a few cup sizes naturally. That and it will strenghten your back muscles if you decide to target the back.

It's kind of true, I am jealous of big boobed girls. :frown:

That's fine if you're naturally 'larger', but if you're slim but with larger cups - and no intention of losing weight - it just means that you (or I, anyway) will lose weight and look unhealthily skinny, but with still large boobs (which looks even weirder when you're extra skinny).
I'm 16 and next year I'm having a breast reduction due to the back pain I get, I'm a 30GG and a size 8 everywhere else; theres no other solution, as to lose enough weight to make my boobs shrink I would have to make the rest of my body unhealthily skinny. It's awful, I'm glad to be finally getting rid of them!

I'm probably what you'd class as fat, but I also get annoyed with my boobs sometimes.

I can never wear shirts because the buttons just don't do up/are stretched so you can see my boobs :frown: Also t-shirts make me look fatter than I am, so I normally go for 'empire line' tops/dresses because they're the most flattering. This limits what I can wear quite a lot... Boo hiss.

Plus I hate having to pay lots for bras too! Primark do actually do a range of larger sizes but they're all pretty granny-ish and not at all what I like wearing! I normally get mine in La Senza and end up paying £15-20 for a bra ON ITS OWN, not even a set. Grr.

I came up with a remedy to this, where a vest and button the shirt up to just under your boobs. It looks really cool.
Hahahah. The worst thing ever is buying bikini sets.
When you're a size 8 bottom, and like a size 14 top. This is why mix and match was such a good idea.

As for strapless bra's I say go for either transparant straps, nothing at all (as long as the material is not too sheer), or if it doesn't look too bad a normal bra with a cami under the strapless top.

I was going to suggest this, but you beat me to it! lol. I love this look. It makes my waist look slimmer too

I don't think this is very suitable for work though..

It depends where you work (and if you have a uniform, etc., lol) - but some of the females in the offices that both parents used to work in would quite regularly do this. If you have a well-fitting shirt, a clean strappy top underneath it, and something like a pencil skirt or trousers and heels, it looks perfectly smart.
I was feeling quite down about this earlier and found this BBC documentary called Me and My Big Breasts, it made me feel a lot happier as I realised that others seem to have it loads worse...its not on iplayer anymore but can be found on various websites if anyone is interested. One girl featured was a 28k

Yeah I saw this, made me feel quite bad for moaning really (I'm "only" a 34DD). Really just goes to show the spectrum of sizes that you're looking at above a D cup, yet bras over a D cup are invariably not only more expensive (with no cheaper alternative available) but less pleasant to look at - at least from my experience. And, from glancing back through this thread, a lot of this isn't to do with people being overweight, which can make your boobs grow obviously, but just genetics.
You sound like a complete wench, I'm glad you can't find clothes that fit you

Either way, I think I'll live :p:.
ahhh, i know exactly what you mean! i'm not exactly 'small' anyway, i'm about a size 12 (sometimes 14), with 32FF boobs and but i always have to buy at least one size bigger than i need to!!!
Don't blame the shops, there is little profit to be made on such specialist sizes, they're not jealous of "real curves"
