I've been taking it now for over a week due to not sleeping because of personal issues.

I think i've become addicted to it. My mother asked me to stop taking it and it really panicked me and i became really nervous. I'm already secretly planning on buying a second box.

What are the effects of taking it too long?

It'll have probably stopped working by now and will definitely stop working if you give it another week. Your reliance is purely psychological.

I don't know that you could in a week but maybe longer than a week and you could be. Don't know what the effects are but most non herbal things aren't good for your liver. Maybe switch to something better for you and keep Nytol as a reserve.

Don't buy any more and don't continue using what you have left.
    Try something else perhaps?

Nytol seems pretty useless to me. I am a really terrible sleeper (about 16 hours sleep since Monday) and have tried Nytol before and it doesn't do a thing. I tried taking 10 tablets and stayed up all night regardless before eventually going to play rugby

Why stop taking it? It's basically herbal ingredients that have VERY mild effects on the brain. Long-term use is ridiculously unlikely to cause anything other than psychological dependence.
