yes, he's a guy.
He fancies you, but wants you to say you fancy him first.

is it really that strightforward?

Pretty much. Take the simplicity as a blessing.

Its just he doesn't strike me as the type to ask me first. I'd expect him to come out with it first. I'm the shy one! Do any of you loud guys have the same problem.
Amlea, you keep asking questions about this bloke and each time you get the same response. Yes, he fancies you. Go out with him and stop posting the same old threasd over and over.

You should try reading 'men are from mars and women are from venus'

Tells you a lot, well, everything you need to know about guy psychology.

hes asked me if i want a "relationship", what the hell does that mean?

"guy psychology" is an oxymoron

he wants to date you, he wants to be boyfriend and girlfriend.. its rather straightforward to me.

Wow that's a very pertinent comment but I think that applies to girls too. Sometimes we flirt/seduce just because we want to know that someone fancies us. Whether we'll do something about it is another matter.

I would think so, he's a guy, they generally talk about things plainly. So don't worry, if you fancy him text him back that you do like him too

well...either he wants to know if he can just get his leg over every now and again, or he really likes you and is worried that you just want to get your leg over, and he wants you to be serious.etc. and therefore he doesn't want to get hurt.

I've told him i like him but hes asked me whether i want a "relationship"...no guys ever asked me that. Its just i dunno the word "relationship" has always made me nervous. When guys ask this what the hell r they trying to say?

(i know i sound really stupid...)

When we get old, guys use better language, because relationships are less games and more the chance of finding the one to settle down with. hes become a man and not a childish boy anymore, hes asking the proper way the kind of way id expect to be asked to date him.

Thats true...but if you consider that amlea is 17, i would assume the guy is of a similar age, so it is unlikely he would be looking to settle down just yet...
