Dark Circles and bags under eyes

I suffer from dark circles under my eyes, some people comment saying have you got a black eye. Im wondering if anyone has beauty tips to get rid or reduce the effect of looking battered.

Ive tried witch hazel, supose to remove darkness and bruises. I get plenty of sleep around 10 hours and eat plenty of fruit and veg. Consealer makes it look worse. I wear sun glasses in the summer, to hide them as well as prevent my hey fever.

I was curious to know if anyone has used to creams which reduce it but not cover it up.

I always have dark circles under my eyes, if you always have them then there is nothing you can do about it really, although I'm sure there is someone somewhere who will sell you a cure!

If you haven't had them for long they can be caused by tiredness, and apparently they can also be a sign of constipation.

I bought some cream from Boots called Time Delay Eye Brightener, it hides dark circles really well.

Same here. Some people just seem to have them to a lesser extent all the time.

Try "eye bright" by benefit - it hides dark circles and also their "eye-con" cream is worth a look

Nope I just use clinique concealer I've always had terrible bags and no diet helps really although they get worse depending on how much caffeine I drink

I have dark circles too, consequence of all my late nights. They have been gradually getting darker! I'm still in the process of trying out creams to see which one helps the most but I know a good cover up! Yves St Laurents- Touche E clat. All the celebs apparantly use it! It's about £20-odd but I find it amazing!!:biggrin:
I have dark circles, thanks to my genes (grr!!!) so not much i can do about them at all, so i use a 'Menaji' Concealer, works wonders!

does anyone know if the amount of water you drink can have an effect on the dark circles?
I've noticed that mine won't go away no matter how much sleep I have (currently getting 10+ hours a night...used to have under 6 hours)
I know I'm not drinking enough water at the moment. I just forget to drink, only really realised today so not had the time to try it out.

no idea, but i dont drink much water either, i have about 3 or 4 glasses, we should have 8 a day.
Just stay well hydrated, 2-3 litres of fluid a day (mainly water!!), no need to sleep for more than 8 hours, sleeping too much even makes you worse!

I get this too! it sucks
Used tea bags are supposed to be good for it? Not sure if it really does help though.

I drink a lot of water, but still i have dark circles. I can not get rid of them, no matter what I do. So now I simply don't care about them anymore.

Agreed. That stuff's amazing.

I have a touch eclat and it doesn't really make any difference to my dark circles. Maybe I should have got the darker one, I got the pale one because I have very pale skin.

It is really good on my chin, the skin there is a bit red looking and it's great for that. Just not for my eyes unfortunately, but I am going to buy the Benefit under eye concealer someone mentioned earlier, that looks really good. All their basic products, not really make up but things like like concealers and lip plumpers and what not, are really good.

dark circles around your eyes can actually be a sign of something not so right inside you - mainly kidneys... so maybe get checked out cos there might be a small problem.
but drinking more water might help...?

Argh, I have them too. They're so annoying!

I used to get Touche Eclat, but I didn't find that it made much of a difference. Benefit do some good concealers, but I didn't find that their Eye-con cream did anything much, and its quite expensive too. Bourjois' D'un Coup de Pinceau does a good job, and its only about £6.99 so its much cheaper than the Yves Saint Laurent one.

The way I hide mine is by putting a good reflective foundation like L'Oreal Translucide on first (you can either put it all over your face or just around your eyes), as this really does make a difference. It lightens them and makes them the same kind of tone as the rest of your skin, and its a good base for putting concealer on to. Then I just use a reflective concealer like Touche Eclat or D'un Coup de Pinceau. That seems to do a pretty good job!

I hope that helps someone a little bit
