A tie is like a sausage roll.

The cheaper one is normally tastier.

if your wearing a black and grey suite with white shirt then i dont think it would go. Go for something metalic. like a grey or dark silver. Or look for a nice leather tie. otherwise if your going for that whole daring look go for the ones in link posted a few pages back

Well the stripes are fairly subtle on the suit, and their grey...

will a stripey tie not look good with a stripey suit?
I don't want to say it won't - stripes can be very subtle, but not always. And because both sets of stripes are vertical...

    You decide.

All I'll say is that if you're paying £59 primarily for its appearance and planning to wear it only a few times, I would say it's a bit much. I'm not tight when it comes to things like this, but I would only pay that much for a tie I wore to work on a regular basis (and would therefore come under strain). You can argue that you'll keep it for special occasions, but will it always go with what you're wearing?

You have the time to look through various sites and shops currently. The right tie from Greenwood's or M&S might do nicely.

It does look very nice though.

I've just had a second look of the suit, and the stripes are very subtle as matter of fact.

I think what i'll do is, buy the tie, then wear the whole outfit and see how it works out, I can always return it.

You have been of great help, thank you very much.
