I was just wondering what the best GCSE grades people have got are? Or who has got the highest predicted grades?

One of my friends got 10 A*s including 3 or 4 letters from the exam board telling her that she was in the top five in the country for the 3 or 4 subjects.

well, no one can top fiction (as almost everyone here - seems to realise) - so im predicted 15A*, 2A and top 5 in just about all subjects. Some say, I'm not trying.

I'm predicted 9 A*s and 2 Bs but in reality it'll probably more like 6 A*s 3 As and 2 Bs

So will you have 14 GCSEs altogether, or do you mean you've just taken the other 10? To answer the original post, I read in the paper last year that some kid got I think 16 A*s plus 4 As in early ASs. It was something ridiculously high like that anyway.

Im about the same, I have been predicted all A*s but it will probably be more like 7 A*s 2As n 2Bs and that is if i work really really hard for them. :p:

By the time you get to AS, you realise just how little GCSEs matter, and especially how little predictions matter, mainly because none of my teachers got it right (apart from Physics which I hated anyway!)

My GCSES were ok
English Literature (A),
English Language (A),
Science (AA)
RE (A)
Geography (A)
Expressive Arts (A*)
Maths (B)
ICT (B)

AS Levels were ok
English Literature (A)
Geography (A)
RE (B) But there was a massive problem with my coursework.

I have been predicted something ridiculous for A-Level, and I won't achieve it, so I'm reflecting on what I have definitely got. I suppose I can only dream. *goes sad*

No doubt he was one of the people who went on to get 10 As at A Level with 10 distinctions in AEAs etc etc

I was chuffed with 7A*s and 6As! But they don't mean bugger all when it comes to 6th form. I hope I do as well in my AS *crosses fingers*
