Hi, so far i see myself going to loughborough to do psychology because of the years work experience and its place in the table (times uni guide) and i cant wait to be able to concentrate on just one subject, my beloved psychology, and stop having to worry about effort for subjects im not so fond of (business:\). However i worry about, because it is a university that is known for sport, if this gets into the psychology course because this would really put me off. I cant imagine it would be and i am yet to go to an open day so it just worries me. Also i would like to know any information on any research happening (if much does basically) in psychology there. I've long imagined i would enjoy putting myself forward to participate in experiments and so on but ive not seen much on the website about research in psychology. I dont know if these are silly questions, i just want to be straight on some things before i decide to spend four years there.

If anyone else thinks they will be putting loughborough psych as their firm.........what attracted you to loughborough?

The sport doesn't worm it's way into the courses, except obviously those in the sports science department.

i got B's in maths and eng lang, and A in lit. I was lucky tbh because i was predicted a D in maths and did foundy papers until the end exams and did well towards end of the course and ended up with a B. At the time i didnt really know that they (gcse's) would matter for university and so thats why im lucky i got the grades.

Well done for getting in I was over the moon when my offer came through (but being rejected from Nottingham the same day slightly ruined it ha!) Is anyone going to the open day?

I'm applying to Luff for Psychology... currently attracted by the years work placement and the fact that a friend has just graduated from there with a first in business management and she loveeeed it so much.

However I massively preferred Leeds and Leicester as places so if those two were to give me offers then they'd be my firm/insurance as they jsut had a better feel - everybody at Luff was soooooo fed up on the open day?
