In september my boyfriend and I will both be university students, we both want to move in together. I was wondering how we could do this? can we get couple accommodation or just go to a estate agents. We will be both matured students living off the NHS bursaries.

Any help would be much appreciated!

I don't know, ring up the universities and ask them?

A few universities will have private halls nearby which offer accommodation for couples (certainly, when I was at university, the Unite/Liberty Living properties offered such rooms), but you may need to rent a house or apartment privately.

I'll move this to 'Student Life' where you'll get more appropriate answers from those who may have been in the same position.

Depends on the halls but most will have rooms which are specifically for couples. In my experience couples generally live separately in year one though, then move in together in year two.

My accomodation last year had flats for couples. Be careful though, I know of quite a few couples who decided to live together, broke up, then still had to live together in awkward situations till the contract was finished.

You may find couple accommodation at the University (not all will have this though) or you just do as people normally would - go to an estate agents and rent a flat or something... I did this with my boyfriend as he isn't a student. Worked out fine
