I'm not sure about quantitatively but for qualitatively I think you can just mention that the gradient's positive or negative and then describe the relationship between the two variables. I could be talking about something completely unrelated, though

e.g. The gradient is negative, which supports the fact that as x increases, y decreases.

If we're asked to draw a block diagram, do we draw the whole set of apparatus?

Here's the question:

A sample of gas is held in a container at constant volume. The pressure of the gas is monitored by a pressure sensor mounted through the top of the container. The temp. of the gas is varied by placing the container in a water bath and the temperature of the bath is monitored my a temp. sensor. The output from each sensor is sent to a computer to record the data.

Draw a block diagram to show how the data is fed to the computer.

I'm just not sure whether they want us to include the whole apparatus set-up, or just the sensors/data-logger/computer
2. No just boxes which would say temperature sensor, pressure sensor date looger n computer the arrows shud be shown how the data goes

a block diagram is basically boxes.

So, for the question you have:

a box saying 'pressure sensor', and then a box with 'temperature sensor' underneath, both connected to a box saying "processor/data logger" then connected to a box saying 'computer'.

Now I think of it, it's like a flow diagram..

I'm not 100% sure, but don't the error bars show the largest and smallest possible numbers? So, say, the error bar max is 1 and min is 0 and the point is at 0.5, therefore the absolute uncertainty is +/- 0.5. Right? And with that, you can measure the % uncertainty (absolute/value*100)

Someone tell me if I'm wrong.

8. Ok u guyz the exam is 2m!!!!!
so basically we should expect a whole lot of questionz on uncertainity...a graph question which is most probably a Ln or Log graph
So far the biology and chemistry paper6 examz hav been a lot like the specimen..and we're the first people to do it..so hopefully it'll be easy.
You think we'll get any suprises??

the problem is we dont know what to study!!
like i solved the sample paper, read the core practicals, and like tried to do a couple of questions related here and there..but other than that..i feel completely lost..and pretty much losing interest =P haha spending it on fb rather than phys =P

Maybe you we should go over the AS practicals (just in case)..
12. OMG! u knw for bio today the first question was based on our AS!!! haha i sat an hr trying to remember! so yea maybe..i hav a feeling they might ask abt young's modulus cuz a lot of ppl are talking abt it

...edexcel should have provided us with at least 3 sample papers so that we get an idea of whats gonna come!!!

I have a feeling that we're gnna doo a good job tmrw.. although I'm pretty scared at the moment

let's hope that edexcel made this paper easy!!!! unit 4 was definitely not easy in january

and they saw how ppl screwed up in the Jan examz..sooo most probably they wont make it hard
bio and chem paper6 were ok..so phys shud be the same =)
