Hey everyone, ok so I really like this shy guy in my class. We were all out on a uni night out and my friend blabbed to him. She said his response was positive but he said he had just got out of a relationship so wasn't 'feeling himself'. Also, his friends came up to me and were saying 'oh so you like so and so' so I think he must have told them. Guys I've been out with have been fairly confident and I don't know how to go about this, should I just leave it up to him as he knows I like him? Or maybe should I just chat to him? We've only got a few more weeks of uni left and we're in final year so i may never see him again after that. Hope you people can give me some advice! Thanks for reading

if hes really shy hes not going to be coming upto you.

Speaking from a shy guy's point it's unlikely he is going to make the move, just start chatting to him more often and see what his response is.

Thanks, ok I need to talk to him then. Would a subtle or more forward approach be better?

just be open and honest, theres nothing more annoying than being indirect and not being to the point (then again im fairly impatient for a shy guy)

Well I think you should talk to him, but obviously don't just lay it out there, is he always shy or is it just with girls? He might be confident enough once he's been out with you a few times. I'd give it a go, because if you don't you'll be missing out, you like the guy, so why not?

Yes, talk. Shy guys don't make the first move, they expect shy girls too :P

Go and talk to him and ask him open-ended questions. Get to know him yourself and see if you have anything in common. Get him talking about himself.

Though if he's just got out of an R then he won't want to rush things.

He's a shy guy? Myyy you have to do most of the work now.
Approach him to talk. preferably when they're not many people around, look and sound interested in him. Be friendly, don't come on to strong. Most importantly, give him some time. He'll probably dwell on the conversation you would have had and wonder what he should do next
And if things are going well, then 'lead' the way hope it goes well for you
