I'm in the first of a 2year master and will be doing an internship with a bank in London this summer.

I was wondering if it would be appropriate to mention my interest in working full time straight away, without coming back to finish my masters. Anyone knows if something like that has been done before?

I have never heard of this happening, but maybe you can mention in within your team, and if it is taken well, tell HR.
I can see that being a bit risky, though.

HR won't like it. It's part of the reason some banks don't take 3rd years on their internship programs; they get annoyed at people trying to negotiate start times immediately following the summer program, instead of starting in the next year analyst class. I've heard of people starting right after a summer internship though, but never when they still have a year of education left. Not completing your Masters degree will probably be a bad move in the long run.

Dropping out of a Masters....not good, bit of a waste of time and money.
