Well you really shouldnt be shaving down there if you're no...... oh wait you mean real road rash. For a start if you were wearing shorts then shame on you. If its on your arm I recomend making a germaline sandwich between your arm and a surgical gauze. Thats what I always used to do and most of them came out with only minimal scarring.

Edit: sorry just saw you were french so you were probably wearing lycra non?

Falling off your bike and sliding can mean the cycling clothes get ripped and there's not much you can do about that.

I suggest lots of gauze and antibiotic cream. Keep it covered up and don't mess with it. I'm sure I read something about it on the Discovery Channel team's site.

Cheers! At the time i was wearing a fassa bortolo culotte, (what's it in english)? that i just bought 4 days before... needless to say it is totally ripped. Dad said bin it, cos he thinks it's badluck to wear a doomed team's strip :s-smilie: hmmm
Yeah! anyway I'm gettin my lucky four leaf clover out! française des jeux!
Wanted discovery (LANCE IS THE HERO) but they didn't have small sizes. Any idea what a european "3" is, in American sizes?
Does anyone know of a good website to buy pro cycling team clothes on?
I used trikotboerse24.com but they don't have Discovery in small (120 euros 4 maillot and culotte). Discovery.com have them for 99 dollars a piece!!!

Thank God not too deep.
It was going round a roundabout, Rasmussen style! but slid about 5 meters or so. If I hadn't have hit the curve i would have gone further. All i rember was after i hit the curve, tht my bike came up and whacked me in the calf muscle. FFFFF OUCH.

Damn! Should have braked, and NOT pumped up my tires just before going out!

Er, I'm a girl, but when I bought a jacket in France saying size 3, it was a bit tight and I am an English size 8/10 which is an American size 4-6. ::takes breath::

Yes, it's they've somewhat, and the scratches have just scabbed over. Otherwise the majority is still weeping round the edges.

When i first got back home, I showered, washed them with soap and water. Squirted hydrogen peroxide on for 5 mins, which stung like hell on my arm!! ouch. Then I put tincture of iodine on, but noticed it wasn't sticking to the middle.

A day later, I've applied a red substance called mecromina, which seems to be doing a good job. Has stayed put on all parts and seems to be quite sticky.
Only disadvantage is that it stains my cloathes, the sheets, the table LOOL!!!

They seem to be doing quite well.

Can you explain to me what germaline sandwich is? gauze? sorry just not used to those, as i don't live in the uk
Merci!

Ah i've just been told that I made something that smelled like germaline in a chemistry experiment. Now i know it smells like wintergreen. That's a crushed aspirin, with ethanol, some sulphuric acid and warmth. Smells quite nice  LOL
