Well, thats a sign that they don't want him to go. Would Ozil though even though we have only 1 rumour with him. Khadera seems likely, and I was impressed with his performance last night and capped with a precision header.

But Chelsea are growing increasingly confident they can sign Torres for about £50m. (Sunday Telegraph)

Paying anything over £45m for Torres would be ridiculous given his injury record and rather...lacklustre World Cup - by sticking a £70/100m prce tag on him Liverpool are obviously just showing their financial weakness due to the fact they're in rather dire need of money at the moment - setting a higher price tag at first would seem to suggest Chelsea would bid higher in the first place before negotiations occur...they'd probably take £45/50m for him I imagine. If we could get Aguero for sub £30m that'd be ideal (I've always been a fain of his). I can't see Sneijder leaving personally; also I remember saying that we should've tried to sign him when he was Ajax when I saw him and Robben destroy multiple international teams a few years back.

Am I the only one who would like to see us sign someone for the first team reasonably soon? I appreciate that the window only opened on the 1st of july but (purely from football manager experience) I think it's best to give players as much time as they can get pre-season to bed in to the team. I'm just a bit worried that we are going to try and go another season without investing properly in our squad, which definitely won't get us the champs league (which I am assuming is still the main trophy the team and fans would like to win) and may well not get us the league if united, or perhaps even citeh get their act together. Thoughts?

Looks like he's the natural replacement for the Drog?

Would be a great signing provided he's as good as things make out to be...that said it could be good to sign him and loan him back to Anderlecht for a season much like this defender Kalas we signed.

    WTF

Iker Casillas claims the signs 'look good' that Chelsea full-back Ashley Cole will join Real Madrid this summer.

I would be distraught if he left but £30m for him would be good from a business point of view. Use it to buy Coentrao :coma:

If you can get £30m for a 29 year old left back then you should take it tbh.

I really don't want A.Cole to leave. That said, if £30m is on the table, I will fully understand it... Provided we are going to reinvest appropriately, of course.

Articles on Ashley Cole like the one in the sun today are truly and utterly pathetic and goes to an all time low. I don't know how they can get away with publishing such stuff.

Signed this Lukaku guy you're supposed to be getting for Stuttgart on FM. He's 16 on it, and he looks a machine so far. 5 in 5, scored against Lyon in the CL as well.

    Reliable source tbh :awesome:
