Yeah, but I don't think he will. A sub cameo role at best. Can see both Zhirkov & Matic being used from the sub bench, and possibly one of Kakuta/Borini/Bruma nearer the end.

Well, all the fuss about him and he hardly plays. Bit annoying to see what the fuss is about.

Just gotta be patient with him. We can't put him instantly into the first team, because he'll probably struggle with the defensive & phsyical side of the game. We'll just keep patitently blending him into first team action.

Others like Borini are more ready for first team action IMO, because he's so intelligent and has shown against Portsmouth he can match men physically.

It'd leave us with only one natural left winger (not that we ever need one, but meh) in Zhirkov, who no one really has much confidence in.
    I DO.

Tell Malouda to piss off! Let Zhirkov have a proper run of game, and he'll be amazing.

I'm desperate to see him establish himself in the starting line-up.

    That'd be nice.

I'd imagine our team for tomorrow to be:

Cech, Ivanovic, Alex, Terry, A.Cole, Ballack, Lampard, Malouda, J.Cole, Sturridge, Anelka.

Sub bench: Turnbull/Hilario, Carvalho, Bruma, Matic, Zhirkov, Kakuta, Borini.

    You heard it first here.
    it's Watford mate!

    Based on what?

And he deserves to have a good run of games based on what?

Well, it'll be like that for some time yet.

Based on no valid evidence whatsoever.

I have an affection for the guy, and it's completely irrational.

Although, I will say that in the pre-season friendlies, where he seemed relatively fit, his crosses were beautiful & inch perfect.
    All 5 them. Lmfao.

I think he played as a left winger then, but I'm not sure?

To be fair, Zhirkov has been looking lively in the past few matches - I'd like to see him start against Watford and stick Kakuta on at some point.

Yeah I think everyone can see some promise in him now, which is more that can be said a couple of months ago. A couple of solid left back performances, and a good cameo against West Ham has improved his chances. That said, Malouda and Lampard still take priority in that LCM position (although Lamps will switch to Ballack's RCM during January, so it could open up a starting opportunity, or two for Zhirkov this month).

Please sign someone this month. I, for one, do not want to see Ancelotti embracing snow whilst naked.

he was really good in the second half of last season. he sucks as a midfielder though.

i don't think he'll leave. Carlo is a huge fan of him, in fact he wanted him at AC.
