What a stupid ****ing tackle to get himself sent off... Two feet in with the studs up. Can't even claim frustration - he scored ten minutes ago.

Is it 3 matches for a straight red? Bloody hell. Just what he needs...

2 assists and 2 goals in 3 appearances. He's getting back to form. Unlucky to be sent off, barely touched the player and there was no intent in it. Was just a striker's challenge trying to get the ball after he'd lost it, rather than being frustrated and wanting to injure the player.

Especially unlucky if it's a 3 match ban... although i expect it's just a domestic ban and he can play in the CL? Either way, pleased he's scored and has put that miss behind him. Can't see this red card affecting him too much, especially after that goal.

Silly tackle, he was just over enthusiastic the poor guy, starting to get his form back and all. You could see straight away he knew he'd ****ed up.

He looked really dejected coming off the pitch, gotta feel for the guy, he's so desperate to prove himself and **** just wont go his way.

Now to watch us play with 10 men again ffs

I think it's 1-3 depending on the severity of the incident. I reckon this'll be a 3 match ban.

Not because of the severity, but because it's Torres and his amazing luck atm.

    Ffs.

So you think he's not unlucky to be going through this especially after his last few performances?...

Just looked into it, for a tackle like that it'll be classed as violent conduct (though I realise there was no malice in it) and it's an automatic 3 match ban - and I can't see any grounds for appealing it either.

On a side note, does anyone else think Meireles looks like an absolute tool with a mohican?
