Not really. I suppose it depends how well you can handle it, your body type, build etc. Ten WKD for me (same thing?) is the basic for me, usually more. But if I'm skint then I have that. It doesn't seem excessive to me at all. I don't drink every week either so its not so bad.

is 10 bicardis an excessive amount to drink on a night out? i do this like 5 times a week and am wondering if this is binge drinking?

That sure would be for me. And that much 5 times a week does seem quite excessive.

Thats about 50 units. The recommened weekly unit intake for women is 14.

So yes, some may describe that as excessive.

Of course. You will eventually put a great deal of strain on your liver. That would happen even if you were the healthiest person in the world in other respects. Your vital organs cant be too happy with you.

i might try and cut down then
perhaps is i went out 3 nights a week and had about 10 each time
that wud probably be much better in terms of units?
im worried now!

True. Getting totally smashed messes up your metabolism. It's no wonder a lot of binge drinkers are "big" girls.

Well thats still about 30 units - over double the recommended weekly intake.

Is there really any need to have 10 everytime you go out? It must cost a fair bit aswell.

If you drink more than 5 units in a night that is binge drinking and basically you are drinking way too much! Cut down to 2 3 times a week and get a soft drink in between or half a lager instead of alcopops
Reply 12
Do you have that many to try and get drunk? You could always have a couple of shots instead. Iv heard that the recomended amount of units for consumption on one day for males is 4 units. Bicardis are what 1, or 1.5 units? Youre haveing at least 10 units a night then.

How do you manage to afford it? Breezers aren't exactly the cheapest drink (or form of alcopops) out there.

I cannot seem to work out how many units these are from the net, but I know a bottle of Reef is 2 units for a small bottle. So 50 a week is 100 units a week. This is bing drinking to the excess, if you carry on like this your liver is likely to pack in. With the liver apparantly you don't get much warning once it gets to about 80% damaged it can suddently detoriate and often it can't be reversable.

If you stop drinking this stupid amount now then you can give your liver chance to repair itself.

Also drinking this much alchohol can cause serious mental problems its just a way to screw yourself up. To be honest I am not sure how you physicaly managed it.

Have a look at this

I think she means actual shots of spirit, as she mentioned having a thing with bacardi and cokes in one of her many threads posted last night.

lol "one of her many threads". Hmmm, I don't know. I never really liked baccardi and coke, nor did I like buying it for people. Even if thats what she did mean it's still not, usually, all that cheap. I agree with Lil_J - tonnes of money to be spending, and thats before you've even bought a round!

I'm a stingy git, but as someone who typically drinks inexpensive stuff, I hate buying rounds for people who have such expensive taste!

Plus its important to remember what this high level of drinking is doing to your brain. Some of the damage done to your cognitive processing is irreversible.

God why drink that much anyway? Can't you have a good night out and just be tipsy, or god forbid sober? =o
