They do still do SATS in primary by the way, the little kid I've been looking after for the past year took them.

I got 5 english language, 5 english lit. and 4's in Maths and Science. I went up two levels from the last SATS. And when we did them in year 9 I went up two again. very odd.

Um, there was never any English language/lit division at KS2. You may have received a separate mark for "reading" and "writing" (and there was a handwriting paper too) but not two different levels as such. Also, pupils are expected to move up at least one level every two years. That's called "progress".

Y2- Who knows?
Y6- 555. I never knew about extension papers until Y9 when I did it for english! Hmph!
Y9- 678 (maths, science, english). Maths went seriously downhill after SATs.

For KS2 I achieved 4,4,4 - average. Then at KS3 I achieved 6,6,6 - average. I'm just an average kinda' guy, I suppose.

566 in year 6, and 788 in year 9, lowest in science both times. So I guess that was to be expected. But they were both years ago.

edit: pffft, 7 years since the KS2s

Our school still did a split whether it be for lit/lang or reading/writing; and yes I did recieve two seperate levels. If I can find the form I'll scan the stupid thing in.

And yes I'm well aware of the word progress I was merely commenting upon the fact that everytime I took the SATS I then moved up two levels in every subject. That was all. Random partially ironic comment, they do happen.

555 I remember in science I got 2 marks wrong lol

In Year 2 they didn't do SATs, and in year 6 I got 455 (4in science)

Yet at high school I got 777 then went on to do separate sciences and got higher in English and Chemistry (As) than in Maths (B) so that shows (for me anyway) that the primary ones don't reflect your potential.

778 in Year 9. They only let us take the 5-7 paper in English and Science. >_>

I got 554...Had chicken pox at the time so can remember the experience well, spent most the time scratching myself...can't believe they still made me do them with Chicken Pox! ....Don't have a clue what I got for Key stage 2, I expect I got high English and Maths though....I have to go back 10 years to find when I owned everyone at English...Read at a year 8 level at the time and I probably still do :p:

Reply 55

333 for ks2
666 for ks3

despite those, seemingly mediocre, results i managed to get a*s in science and english, with an unfortunate b in maths (missed an a by a small margin, i was told by my teacher)...
