waiting list for lse

hey, when did u get ur offer from Kings?! i'm really worried cos they're taking so long when i expected them to be the 1st uni to make me an offer......instead i have only got Nott and Bath.......dying for Warwick....lol.

Yeah i got offer on the 08 of January....two of my mates got offers for the same course (N200) on the same day as well.......... Our Ucas was processed on the 24th November................ btw we are international students so we may be prefered over u guysss

hey i havent heard from lse either (government) but got an offer from notts for politics!

Notts is my first choice at the moment... the ABB offer should be easy to meet, and I'm not expecting anything from LSE because my A Level subjects aren't "traditional" enough for them. So yeah, I'm pretty much expecting to go to Nottingham next year.

ok can anyone whos actually recieved an offer from lse make themselves heard? i applied for law and got the same shortlist thing and i don't have a clue what it means.

i havn't actually heard of anyone getting an offer yet, maybe im wrong.

i havent heard anything yet from lse either... whats all this informing that uv been shortlisted stuff? never heard of that before! lol i was a bit stupid and applied for straight econ there... maybe not the best decision so am not holding out for an offer at all lol. i hav ucl anyway so i dont really care mwahahahaha. hav york and bath also and rejection from cambridge. tis all good.. london baby!

Contrary to popular belief LSE do actually give offers out early (I received my offer in Nov 02 and accepted it...), although they don't give that many out. A lot of the applicants go to the waiting list (these are promising applicants- if they were going to reject you straight away they would have btw). Here the applications are held for a period of time before being reviewed once more applications have arrived (normally around feb-march). Offers/rejections are then made before the big open day in April.

don't worry the shortlist thing only applies for law, i don't think there is such a thing for econ at lse.

what a levels do you do?

History (good) Film Studies and Media Studies (bad). It probably would have looked better if I'd dropped film or media and carried on English Language, but I hated the subject, so there was no way.

the shortlist thing only applies for law, i don't think there is such a thing for econ at lse.

Nope. It exists for all subjects. Whether they tell you that you've been put on the waiting list or not is a different matter though.

no not really........but i've already had rejection from LSE and Oxford......and it'll be so embarrassing to be rejected by a less reputable uni if u c wot i mean........but I really did like Kings when i visited.....its a shame its Business department wasn't more highly rated.

Well I am an international student so I am not really sure where i really wanna go. My first choise is LSE but its really hard to get into a management course there........if not LSE ill be goin to canada for uni...

I applied to do Law at LSE this year and I havent heard a thing from them. When I applied last year I got a AAA offer on 12th December 2002 a day b4 my cambridge interview. Having also had some correspondence with the admissions tutor there I am getting a little worried and rightly so!
