Are those placed on the LSE's "waiting list" more likely to receive offers than those who simply haven't heard anything from LSE?

i think so-i was placed on waiting list for management but was unsuccessful

did not receive a reply for economics - unsuccessful

probably because i had the wrong kinda alevels- maths, chemistry, biology and as english, business, general studies ->i just wanted to keep doing sciences cause i enjoyed them and it would keep my options open.

sorry, i guess this doesnt really answer your question

Waiting list? Shortlisted? WAAAAAAAAARGH! Can someone please explain what all this is...? Is there a difference. I have heard absolutely ZILCH from lse which i guess, is a bad sign. Calling out all international students who haven't been rejected/given an offer... Were any of you put in a waiting list of some sort? coz then maybe if ur an international student u don't get notified if ur put in the waiting list, maybe only when they have an offer/rejection for u. btw, applied for law w/french law there which is about as hard 2 get into as law so...

Yes, at the moment it is-i mean i like Durham too but as of yet don't have an offer. LSE offered me ABB so it takes some stress off!

I suppose it is. The course though for history is quite limited - no early modern or medieval - but the graduation prospects are impressive.
What do you think of studying in London?

I don't mind it, not worried about the cost because i'll be able to live off a student loan and delay money worries for a few years and it should be cool because everything is so close by. Where else have you applied? I have places from York, Warwick, LSE and RHUL so far-and a rejection from UCL

I have offers from York and Exeter. Waiting to hear from Durham, LSE and Bristol.
I don't qualify for the loan so London could prove expensive. Just have to get a good job while I'm there I suppose!
