big oneS!?

alright for some..... :p:
Sorry to be boring and go back to fridges... people in selwyn do have them but i'm pretty sure that we arent meant to, as it says in our Undergraduate Student Guide. Whilst I cant seem to find that online, I can find the Graduate Student Guide which says (page 31, section 8.5):

"Personal fridges and freezers are not permitted. The Dean may give permission for exceptional cases, but this is unusual."

I know it says it in the undergraduate guide somewhere too because if it didnt I would have brought one!

It does say we can't. I still do, though I doubt I'll take it next year as it makes annoying humming noise.

Befriend your bedder and you can have pretty much anything you want in your room. I had a fridge, kettle, tv... I had so much crap I could have stayed there for days without leaving.

Edit: also note that the maintanence men don't care about it. However your electricity bill will be quite high (mine was around £30 a term compared to £5)

£30!!!! eep. my leccy bill is usually only about £7. (less than my flatmates actually, even though my laptop was on all the time, and my straighteners were used frequently :p: )

now, will i have space in blundell to store those alloy hubcaps.....

I have a fridge. It was absolute hell carrying it up the stairs to my room and next year I'm going to try to sell it to the occupant of my old room and use the money to buy a slightly smaller, quieter one. The noise was wierd at first but we got used to it, and my electricity bill was affected more by having my heater on in the winter than the fridge.
