Does any one have any links to university law journals. I get firsts most the time, but I am never sure what quite makes a good essay despite this.

I think reading others helps. Are there any law student journals were examples of good work is posted. :p:

If you can get acces to Jstor (maybe in a library) you'll find some. Just search for a topic you are interested in...

I've heard that 80% or above in a university essay is publishing standard.

I tend to find it varies from tutor to tutor. I wrote a trusts essay that was marked by one professor. He gave me a 72 for it. I wrote a better version, and got it marked by someone else at the trusts department and I got a 68 for it I think.

Yer it does depend who marks it!

We have this cool American visiting professor. People who have never hit a first in their life suddently get 75%. I loved his module.

Its so bad at my university in boarderline cases you could knock yourself down a grade by choosing badly

Was that Garry Eddles? The "visiting professor" who turned up 10 years ago and is still there
