What do you want to know?

I want to know what I asked in the first post.

Well, fair enough, if you don't have any specific questions...
I guess it's got a good reputation, it's difficult to tell when you're at it. We came 4th in this year's Norrington Table, which is a bad measure of teaching etc. We're pretty non-descript in a lot of ways - last year nobody from Hertford won anything in the Union, we had a single OUSU exec officer (p/t), but we did have an OxStu editor. That sort of thing's pretty rare. We're not really one of the "big boys" in the way that Balliol, ChCh, Magdalen might be.
Has the most envied, oft-photographed Bridge of Sighs.
Is right next door to the three of the important buildings (!) the History Faculty Building, the Turf (mmm Old Rosie, roll on MT), the and KA (King's Arms).
... and the Radcliffe Camera, Sheldonian... and All Souls & New as neighbours.
...also the site of many a parked Inspector Morse car in the series...but that's besides the point

The Bridge of Sighs is one of those things everyone wants to go over... and then say how disappointing it is once they do.

It's a corridor. It's quite useful for that, but pretty rubbish from the inside, yeah.

What does everyone think about Hertford?

Does it have a good reputation?

Is it one of the ''big boys'' of Oxford?

Hertford isn't one of the most 'academic' colleges, but it's really friendly and down-to-earth. Has a high state school (and to some extent Northern) population

as an outsider looking in, i think hertford's "less conspicuous"ness is probably a virtue. in many respects it doesn't put a foot out of line. good location, history, character, reputation and social scene. it might not be a balliol or a magdalen, but it's certainly formidable.
