A 19-year-old Israeli soldier today shot at passengers on a bus near Jaffa. He killed 4 civilians and injured several. Following the incident, other passengers killed the gunman.

Unbelievable. Sick ****.

It's terrible, these things seem to happen daily in the Middle East. Palestinian attack followed by Israeli attack followed by Palestinian attack. The man shouldn't have been lynched by an angry mob though.

For clarification, the "soldier" was a deserter. One less idiot in the world.

Also, he didn't kill Palestinians. He killed Israeli Arabs.

Palestinian Arabs living in Israel.

I hate lynching I really do. It always gives me the creeps.

False. They are citizens of Israel and are thus Israeli.

It makes it an internal problem.

By what technicality? Are they bieng forced to stay Israeli citizens? If so, why have I never heard of an Arab-Israeli Hamas bomber?

Where would you rather stay? In slumps on in prosperous cities?

That's got bugger all to do with their identity.

Why have I never heard of an Arab-Israeli Hamas bomber?
Because they don't live in refugee camps, don't suffer incursions and aren't being snipered at all day.

Does that make you an Iranian who happens to be living in Britain?

Perhaps you should ask the 500,000 idiots chose the former?

I think there actually were a few, but certainly nowhere close to the amount of Palestinians from the West Bank.

Are you telling me that people that have been robbed of their land should sucumb to those who took their land away and live as second class citizens?

They were not robbed of their land, as Israel didn't force anyone to sell their land to it against their will. I think you're referring to not having sovereignty over their land, but then again, they never had it in the past; this didn't cause them to flee to refugee camps in other countries beforehand.

That's different as I am of mixed background. My father is certainly an Iranian who lives in Britain and has a British passport.

Not much of a choice when you have Haganah shooting at you

70% of modern Israeli land or settlements (in all of Israel) are built on confiscated land.

The UN estimated that 726 000 Palestinians fled when Jewish terrorist groups began shelling villages supllied with weapons bought from eastern europe.

We already had this argument before; it's off-topic here.

Would you call yourself Iranian or British?

Clearing a few thinsg up.

You can be an Arab Israeli and not a palaestinian.

You coudl also be an Arab Israeli AND define yourself as a palastinian ( Since palestinians often define themselves as a people and not by nationality ).

You coudl be a Palestinian living in Norway with a Norwegian citizenship ( In fact I know a few ).

All in all the people shot dead were arabs living in Israel, wheather they defined themselves as palestinians , I don't know. Regardless of how they choose to define themselves pretty much everyoen agree this was a horrific crim, and prime minister Sharon has already condemned the atack confirming that Israelis as well as Palestinian officials have no sympathy with this guy.

he shoudl nto have been lynched however. A crime like this should be dealt with by the courts. Of course I have no sympathy with the guy and I don't care about him oen bit, it is entireley out of principle I insist that criminals shall be punished by a propper court and not lynched in public.

Werent you telling me that all Arabs arent the same? Yet here you're happy to discriminate on that basis. Presumably in contrast with Jews.

Ignoring the preceeding fallacy, how are Israeli Arabs second class citizens?
