Now I'm going to have to avoid women wearing the hijab on the tube!

I'm sure the police are dubious about the claims of families and communities which say, "we had no idea, he gave no hint of becoming extreme".

If you discover something amazing, world-changing, and believe something so fervently that you're willing to kill and die for it, you tend to mention it to families and friends and try and persuade them to see the light too.

The police aren't naive, they know that they are being lied to....

So im guessing you haven't read the link you are giving us then since you would have noticed that they have been charged for withholding information (most prob trying to help their cousin or whatever) not for trying to blow themselves up....

Since 7/7 I've only got off tube carriages where there's a male Muslim carrying a suspiciously large bag, but I kind of trusted the women wearing all those jihad clothes (though I did look at them to register my disapproval). But now I will have to avoid them too.

Umm.. why?

And disapproval? That's funny, I wondered what some of those looks were, but I tended to assume people didn't particularly care about my choice of attire.

No you don't.
Don't discourage him!
I feel a little better knowing he'll avoid me if we ever meet.

I carry 'suspiciously large bags' I'm a student I carry books, plus I carry everything in my bag, a book in case I get bored, a purse, a decoy prse in case I get mugged(I can be paranoid too) any pieces of paper I happen to have, CV's pencil case, notepad, lip balm, phone... everything- except the kitchen sink and a bomb.

By that logic anything could explode in your face, and I wouldn't have anywhere to hide explosives in my clothes, I wear a skirt and a shirt, not the full jilbaab.

I suppose if you took with you a see through bag I might just allow myself to sit on the same carriage with you.

I think Muslims with bags should only be allowed on the tube if those bags are see through. I'm sure some verse in the Qur'an can be twisted to justify it.

In exams you're only allowed see-through pencil-cases- in case you have cheat sheets.

How old are you again?

I've just read this thread and have decided not to read it again, The Watcher are you even thinking about what you are saying? Imagine how you would feel reading that if you were a Muslim.
