Do you lot ever drink, or do you prefer having a lecture?

I'd like to see what everyone has to say to that.

I prefer a talk with a good professor in a good pub.

I have a question I would like to ask LSErs.
Do you lot ever drink, or do you prefer having a lecture?

the really cool kids sit at the front of their lectures drinking cans of stella

EDIT: sadly, for the sake of clarity I ought to add that this was a joke, what with my remonstration to someone not half an hour ago about the danger of spreading ridiculous rumours about the LSE.

I don't drink. I don't lik the taste of alcohol. My thing is chocolate  I do like lectures, I would'n be doing an LLM if I didn't. I also don't understand people who study when they don't like to.
I would like a ones repy to this: why do you drink?

No, they have laptops, although probably to hide the cans.

I'm not sure what you have construed this statement to be, nor do I particularly care.

Most excellent that you should reply then..

Come to think of it, what DID I think that sentence meant... :p:

On the contrary, I hope he vanishes. After reading his posts, it is apparent that he slept his way into a course at the LSE and now views himself as the *******s of the institution.

No, I don't agree with this. Every post about the School is valued, at least it gives everyone a fair idea of what to expect (although it doesn't necessarily mean you have to agree with what has been said).

In fairness, Researcher Lond did support his assertions (just as lizzy_lou did) even if you didn't agree with their views.
Let's be honest here -

the reason that this site receives a disproportionate number of posts, like Lady Lou's, saying that "Oh the social life at LSE is crap", is because, let's face it, we're on an internet message board. the likelihood is that you're going to get more people coming onto complain about LSE - [the old phrase "bad news is good news" being applicable here] - than people coming on to say what a great time they've had at LSE. Why? Because the people who've had excellent times here don't feel the need to publicise it, whereas Lady Lou likes to air her Morrissey-esque pretentions by claiming that "oh my flatmates were all socially repressed weirdos" and that she cried herself to sleep every night.Lady Lou, you make your own social life, you make your own friends. Stop blaming London/the LSE/your flatmates for your social ineptitude. Go and put on "Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now".....

As do I.

nice to see nothing at all has been achieved whatsoever in my absence. xanthe still making her bossy self centred comments, londo still being a loser and a newcomer to the scene joining the legions of geeks here.

happy to be at the LSE or not, its down to each person. Now as its a saturday night please get off your computer and let your hair down.. preferably out in town or something.
