Kardamena - Kos: Suprisingly, a fantastic Indy scene!

I've recently come back from Kardamena resort in Kos with the lads and had the best week of my life, which is itself an understatement. It beat Kavos 2004 by a country mile because of so many reasons but mainly because the resort had a fantastic Indy scene! Unlike Kavos, which has only one proper indy bar called "Rolling Stone bar" that is mild to say the least, Kardamena boasts three brilliant Indy bars... "The Corner" bar, for classic rock and new commercial stuff, "Trojan Horse" bar for a bit less commercial Indy but still a few classics and then "The Stone Roses" bar, which plays back street Indy and soft metal. This meant that it was possible to do a miny bar crawl listening to what I deem to be good music before going on to the best club on the island - "Mad" club, which is better than any of the many Indy clubs in London. It had a great atmosphere, a great DJ, it's own culture and most importantly, perfect music which changed dependent on the crowd.

Lets just say, if you want a boozing holiday but don't want to spend all the time grinding or booyakashaing - go to Kardamena, it rocks!

Don't mean to be rude, but my spending money was for alchohol and water alone, maybe the occasional bit of food and of course, a novelty T-shirt from "Mad" club. Not for market exursions for the buying of paintings, wooden sculptures of sexual intercourse or indeed anything "cultural", not even pants.

hardly fantastic, Mad is definitley good for the same old indie stuff over and over again, the dj however is an utter ****** and wont take any requests.
