I had a crazy economics teacher at AS level for econ who gave us essay questions once, and often twiceen per week. I would usually write between 4 and 6 pages. I had no problems with it.
But people stress about how many essays they receive at oxbridge. How many pages can be expected in a typical essay (if known for economics, would be great).
Nottingham is looking like my first/second choice (warwick just doesn't do it for me). How many essays may be expected at a university like nottingham, or even warwick in comparison to oxbridge.

I think it is 2 essays per week. Each essay 2500 words each.

I'm on 1 a week, 2500-3000 is recommended but I often hit 4000, but don't make any notes unlike the rest, just write straight into MS Word from the book.

If you want an idea of what 1st year Ox essays are like, OK they're the 'easy' subjects Geography & Sociology, here's some of mine:

PPE at Oxford requires two essays a week I am told. Economics at most universities will (hopefully) require only one.
