I think it's against the law for anybody to hold a large group of students during fresher's week, against their will from 5 till 11, without a substantial stock of food and booze.

At the very least it will probs be cheap wine, soft drinks and finger food?

quite possibly, just stash a small bottle of vodka in your coat pocket incase  *time for bed, ciao*

i'm pretty sure its open ticket, but cheaper if you're an LSE student. they play everything there really, but you'd have to read up on the latest news on Crush, because there were meetings with the SU, westminster police and the Uni about it.

Is the gold card valid for all 3 years? if so then i will buy it. I dont think the amount you save will add up to the amount you paid for the card in the first year. However if its valid for 3 years its a good deal.

DO NOT BUY A GOLD CARD. had to be said, I bought one - it only lasts for a year, giving you free entry to Crush and other LSE events. but you will not go to Crush every week when you realise what else London has to offer so it really isnt worth it. it seems it during freshers week but then a few weeks after you realise what a waste of money it is.

i read that there're other types of cards. if not the gold card, what card should we get?

just don't buy any type of card, its really not worth it. just pay on the door - it lets you have more freedom with where you want to go.

i can see only one advantage which is skipping the queue! is it worthwhile?

Nope, thats another thing which sounds a lot better than it is. when your mates havent got a card, you're not going to just go in on your larry, you'll stay with them in the queue - thus rendering that principle a bit pointless.

yes but what if all my mates do have a card? i will have to wait in the queue on my own! this point goes both ways

then they'll wait with you, lol. i'm just seriously warning you about the waste of money it is. if you've got money to burn at uni then go for it, but you wont get your money's worth, unless you want to be a Crush recluse and not venture past Houghton St. for your night out :p: Honestly, Friday night in London has sooooooo much to offer, you will not want to waste it in the cramped uni club.
