So I was thinking about the fact that the recommended daily intake for water is about 8 glasses. I realised that I drink nowhere near that amount (well I realised before cos my mum is always moaning that I dont drink enough :p: ) Today for instance I had one glass of diet pepsi all day

Just wonderering how much the rest of you drink on an average day. Not just water but liquids in general.

Poll coming :p:

Well today, i have eaten nothing at all and drank all alcohol ( a lot of alcohol, but no non-alcoholic drink at all all day). So i guess today i've not been very healthy. Usually i drink about a glass or 2 of liquid.

Woah, thats a lot! :p:

On a good day I drink about 4 glasses of something. I'm trying to drink more though because I get quite bad headaches from lack of fluids.

You have to drink a lot for that to happen, and you're only really in danger of that happening in long endurance events where you sweat out lots of minerals like salt+potassium, its happened to people doing things like the Ironman before, where you drink 12+litres of water during the duration of the race but don't replace any lost nutrients. Problems solved by drinking stuff which replaces them, like gatorade, or just shoving some salt in with your water(tastes pretty rank tho)

Its almost impossible to drink too much if you're just sitting about doing bugger all, you'll be in lots of physical pain before you reach the stage of dieing from it

Not sure about the crushing your brain bit. But you can't tell how hydrated you are, so you can drink far too much or not enough,- the drug makes you feel like you have more energy so you loose alot of water through sweat from the dancing [usually]. In medical dramas they often have people who've drunken too much water, and they get to hospital where more fluids are pumped into them as they don't know the problem= fatal :s:

Just get a big 1.5litre bottle and drink from it regularly, then fill it up, and repeat. Forget about glasses.

when there is something better than water to drink in the fridge, apart from fizzy drinks, then I drink a lot, especially fruit juices. If not, I just dirnk some water. Perhaps 1.5l of volvic a day and then some water at gym, cuz it is just free there.lol.

I probably drink about 3 pints in total. Currently drinking loads, probably about 5 pints, because I have a really crappy cold/sore throat thing.
