I do Maths Studies so well........ yea. I do have a very good Economics teacher who is an IB examiner and also a part-time lecturer at the University of Geneva though so I could probably help anybody who needed it on that score.

Math HL ey? God, I have it too. Last mock exam I got a 3 and I need a 6. Guess if Im worried. Luckily we have almost half a year of revision left as we are almost through with the syllabus (we have an optional topic left).

Im also doing Phys Chem and Math at HL, and personally I find the Maths to be the troublesome part. Let me know if you need some help in Physics, thats my favourite subject. Best way to practice for Physics is probabbly to do a lot of silly calculations (Like what amount of sugar do you need to burn if you are to accelerate yourself to 95% the speed of light, or what wavelength would a laser have to be in order to completely vapourise a human being with a single photon).
I can sympathise, for some ridiculous reason I thought i would be able to do HL math, a 4 in my IB1 mock exam was a good warning....im taking Math methods now and IT FEELS SO MUCH BETTER....
Oh and this guy in our school is taking HL math AND further Math...but he is exceptional because he does all those trig identities in his head...uh oh....
    Anyway, good luck!!! (:

I have my mock coming up very soon! But my school is really crap and I don't think there're many IB textbooks out there...

I have some notes that I can share if anyone is interested and I'll appreciate it if I can get help from some other IB students as well!

btw I am doing English A1 SL Econ, physics, chem and Math HL
    ----------------------------------------------------
Hey, i could use the chemistry notes. My chemistry teacher is so crapy, he hardly knows what his supposed to teach. There are nine of us in class, and we all so screwed at this point, our mocks are in three weeks and we havent finished the sylabus. send me the last year chem exam as well, if you have it.

i also take English A1 SL, Econ HL, Math Methods, Comp Scnc HL and Spnsh AB. If I can help you in any way just contact me.

We use this blue "Math Methods for the International Baccalaureate" By Fabio Cirrito...or maybe its Firrito Cabio  (this is a bad sign...)
It is not exactly great but since it follows the syllabus accurately it is helpful...

Anyways the hardest subject I find is Math HL, ironically I have the worst teacher at school for this subject!!

I use this book too, and it covers pretty much everything you need to know, but be careful if you do the exercises and get the answers from the back, since the book gives you the wrong answers for alot of questions!

If you need more revision, most books on A-level math, depending on the topics, could probably help too.

Tell me about it, my teacher and I often have the urge to throw the book out of the window when we realize it is the book, and not us, that is wrong!!! (:

My teacher has basically told us to disregard all the answers in the book, since they are complete rubbish.

I have the history and english commentary papers for 2003, so if you want either one of them, e-mail me.

I just did the 2003 English commentary paper for my mock exam. A very accessible (and moving) prose piece.

No offense, but I thought that piece was complete ****. The writer must have been like "What is the most obvious symbol I can think of?" I couldn't figure out how to write 1000 words on it.

Try the IB Revision Guide for Math Methods. Find it on the website osc-ib.com. It covers all the syllabus and has lots of worked examples.

It was much more complex than that, it wouldn't have been too much of hassle to write 2000+ words on it...

Are you guys talking about the one with Rose in it? I thought it was a good piece to write about. Who cares what they talk about as long as they give you plenty to say! (:
