Well, I got a big bag of muddy spuds.

Shock! THere is no cooking instructions on them.

Please tell me how to cook it, I'm starving!

hehe, well maybe start off by washing the potato, then put it on like a jacket potato stand thing, stab it a few times and then put it on for about 8 minutes but just check it half way through.

clean and stab several times.
microwave max power for 9 minutes or so.
preheat oven with 2 mins left to go on the microwave on max heat (gas mark 9 i guess).
when the microwaving is done shove the potato in the oven until golden as required.

or eat from microwave ( a little soggy)
or put in oven gasmark 9 for like, 1 hour.

Put it in the oven, turn the over on high, take it out about an hour later.

Alternativly, put it in the microwave for about 6 minutes.

And poke it with a fork before you do so.

Are you microwaving or oven cooking?

Wash it prick it then either mic for about 8 mins
or mic for 4 then put in oven on a medium temp for about 20-25 mins
or cook in oven from scratch for about 40 mins keep watching it though.

No doubt too late for tonight, but here's how I cook mine: I cut a cross at the top, then rub the potato with a little olive oil, springle some salt on top and stick in the oven for about 1 hour and 25 minutes (180 degrees). Slightly more complicated but you do end up with a deliciously crispy-skinned potato....
