So stressed!

I'm so stressed right now! I've been in my house for the past 2 days which is enough to drive anyone insane! But on top of that, i just spent all of today talking to my mate on msn talking to him about the fact that he wants to kill himself and listening to all of his problems (and believe me there are a lot of them). Now i feel sort of claustrophobic and panicky for no reason. Anyone any ways of destressing quickly?

Watch really funny DVDs like Ally McBeal, SATC, Will and Grace or Friends. Seriously, I post this every time someone gets depressed or suicidal but it works I tell you. Well, maybe not if you're suicidal...but it works people...

meet up with some of your non-sucidal friends tomorrow.

The DVDs advice is also very good - watch American Pie 1, 2 and 3!

I can't block him. I'm the only one he is willing to share his probs with. If he ever did something stupid i would feel like i had something to do with it.

A mix of all the advice given would be good. The last time someone talked to me about suicide on MSN was when I was about ... actually no it's never happened.

Wish it had never happened to me either. Not exactly my ideal way to spend a Sunday afternoon, talking one of my good mates out of topping himself. :frown:

then just ignore them, cut them out of your life, and try to reason with yourself not to feal responsible if he does do it

Cry. I find crying really releases it all. Personally I wouldn't eat ice cream because it would make me more stressed thinking about the calories in the ice cream [but I'm just obsessed like that].

It'll pass.

Sweetie hun, it just really seems to me like you need to chill out and perhaps hang out with some, shall we say, slightly more down to earth people!  I also suggest you strongly urge your mate to see a councellor before things get out of hand. There's nothing wrong with seeing a councellor, I used to turn to them after my parents divorce *but that's not important so let's not focus on that    *

Anyway Jenna :p: Apart from seeing different people, exercising IMO is a fantastic way to relieve stress, I recommend it b/c it makes you healthier too. So get active, join a gym or find a sport you love and grab some friends, and away you go

Hope that helps, and that you feel better soon!
