Is smoking banned in Trev's bar? It better be .
Trevs Bar is open all day (the room, not the actual bar if you get what I mean) and so during the day you can smoke in there - this is mainly because all the cleaners have their breaks in there and smoke whilst nattering about gossip and all that.....but it's non-smoking during opening hours

Other good stuff: the large population of rabbits in the area, the open space in the middle which has 2 trees which make a natural football goal lol.
also, a very weird yet lovely place to play drunken croquet :p:

    Why Trevs is rubbish?
    a) The bar feels like a conservatory, and i can never seem to get up out of the sofas.
    b) The quiz machine is a Weakest Link one, Anne Robinson is evil!
    c) Its B womens football team last season clearly had A team players on it, and they won the league cup and went on in Palatinate about winning the league. (Wrong, Hatfield won Division 1).
    d) It is a college named after a Bond baddie :p:
    e) I can't remember what the freshers t shirt was like for Trevs this year
    f) All the people i've met from Trevs so far, are rowers and are very obsessed by rowing(this is not a good thing conversation wise).

Dobbs, i'm sure when i meet you, you will prove me wrong!

Ooooh you're for it now! :p:

Well...I'm fine with that, that's your opinion....however the fact that you can't get off the sofas means they're comfy. And if they're that bad then don't sit on them lol....though I will admit I think the seats/sofas/tables in the bar really do need to be replaced

    b) The quiz machine is a Weakest Link one, Anne Robinson is evil!
Yeah but it's never plugged in anyway so doesn't matter

Which season? The one that has just finished??? Firstly....I have several friends on the B womens football team, and none of them played on the A-team. It was simply that a lot of girls actually wanted to play this year, and although some were pretty good they obviously couldn't ALL be on the A-team. Trust me, if you'd seen them back in October/November you wouldn't have said they were A-team material (hope they don't read this!)....and I know they didn't win the league....but it's Palatinate's fault for that error not Trevs!

    (Original post by socialist cook)
    d) It is a college named after a Bond baddie :p:
WHICH MAKES IT SO MUCH COOLER THAN ANYWHERE ELSE!!! lol....one of the reasons I applied was because it was called Trevelyan and made me think of the Bond baddie (seriously!)....but it's actually after a former University Chancellor so there :p:

    (Original post by socialist cook)
    e) I can't remember what the freshers t shirt was like for Trevs this year
Erm....nothing special, just a plain blue t-shirt with some hexagons on it and "Trevelyan 2004" or whatever, then everyone's names on the back

    (Original post by socialist cook)

Firstly, the captain wrote the article(and yes i am possibly bitter that my first game in the Hatfield team was our 7-0 defeat at the hands of Trevelyan B in the cup-but we went on to win the league, that's got to be something of an achievement!).

Ah yes it was nothing special, i think this is where the Bailey out does the Hill Castle's one, although not particularly nice towards Hatfield(obviously) was good and Hatfield's one was simple and uncluttered.

Absolutely! Except maybe in leg muscles. I'm sure their legs are far firmer than ours, with all the extra hill-climbing they have to do...

NO! I'm very good friends with the B captain (housemates last year), and can confirm that there were no ringers there. Except for the fit-ass striker, but she was filling in for an injury. She's also the president, and gets to do what she wants.

Also: Palatinates sports writing is terrible. I remember one article going on about how wonderful Milderts basketball team were, and how the trophy and leage were easily theirs, before Trevs took the league and got narrowly beaten in the cup-final (thanks to some of the dodgiest reffing this side of the bundesliga).

Nah, a few years back this was.

The decline in Trevs basketbal team can be DIRECTLY linked to when I stopped being able to make practice.

I anyone were ever to refer to me as a "trevelyanite" I'd probably punch them. It sounds awful! I'd much rather be know as a "Trevor". The same goes for "mildertian" "castleman" "aidanski" or the lesser known "cuthster" (general).

 Excuse me? If you note Kat's post beneath yours, "Mildertian" is the correct name for people from Mildert (apparantly)....I highlighted it as bold as Kat had told me off on msn for saying Mildertite

And I like the name Trevelyanite

Also, I shall continue calling people from Castle....Castletons....the worst is people from Collingwood being called "Woodsmen and Woodswomen" hehe...makes them sound like some random tribe of people who live in the woods :p:
