Whens the general election going to be?
Is 6th May just a predicted date?

It's still a predicted date but most Whitehall watchers are going for it on the grounds that having the local elections and the general election on the same day reduces efforts and costs while at the same time it increases turnout for local elections that otherwise have notoriously low turnouts.

Cheers; so the local elections are definitely on the 6th of May?

And do you just register by sending off the form then turn up at the polling station and your names already down to vote?
