Because they would settle for less than driving the Jews into the sea. You seem like a rational person most of the time, why do you still associate with such morons?

No no... it is not just "agreeing with talking with Israel"... omg you don't understand at all. It is a matter of fatah members receiving weapons from the US and funding and actually spying on all Hamas members and were the one of the main factors that were involved in assassinating Hamas members and many important Palestinian figures.

Well if you bother read my post on the previous page you'll know what I am talking about. (http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/showpost.php?p=9127995&postcount=2024 - read the link on the post)

Just to clear something up. Some may have interpreted this that I call for the complete elimination of Fatah. No I don't... and neither do Hamas. I call for the unity between them... which CANNOT happen if traitors keep disturbing efforts for unity... and who knows.... there might be traitors in Hamas as well... but those who have been clearly identified were part of Fatah.

Notice how its the Palestinians caged up for protection and its the Israelis who are free to roam and do whatever they like - on Palestinian land.

My favourite bits:

Israeli woman at the start:"From two of my windows you can see that side of town, all of Hebron. My neighbour calls it "motivational windows". You open them in the morning and see what else has to be done."

"We're doing our best to stop them" --Israeli soldier, doing nothing about Israeli kids stoning Palestinians.

What is this Palestinian land?

Fact 85: "There has never been a Palestinian state. There was a Palestinian British Mandate, an area which was under Turkish control from 1417 to 1917. The same area, the Palestine British Mandate, was administered by the British after the end of the 1st World War and until 1948, when Israel became independent."

What is this Palestinian land?

It was called Filastin (English version "Palestine") under the Arab Caliphate rule for about 5 centuries. It is not our problem that English has so many retarded versions of names.
Fact : there were people in that land when the Israelis moved in? how about that for a fact? and why on earth does it matter what it was called? there were people living in Telaviv when israelis moved in it was called tal el rabee' , means exactly the same as tel aviv, there were poeple in the Jaleel, northern Palestine and there were dozens of villages which now don't exist and are just rubble.

It really is stupid to discuss such matters, like what was it called and Palestinians dont belong in Palestine...( yup, heard that so many times and does sound stupid...Palestinians don't belong in palestine....) there were christians and muslims and jews living there before israel was formed .

"When the Israelis moved in" ? What does that mean? When the Jewish immigration began?

But there was no Palestinian 'nation' until the UN mandate divided the land, which is the point being made. Palestinians as a people are a relatively new group - until 1948 (arguably later) they were simply Arabs, subjects of the Ottoman and then British Empires.

Factually flawed. Even way before the Ottoman period there was the Umayyid period when which it was called FILASTIN, also the Abbasid period, the Ayyubid period and the Mamluk period. All of this time it was called Filastin (Palestine).

Plus Yasser's post makes another good point.

Firstly, the phrase 'zionist oppression' is sensationalist rubbish. You are totally swept up in the hate fuelled victim culture which is preventing the Palestinians from getting the independence they deserve -independence offered to them so many times but refused.
No they haven't offered independence. They offer packages of surrender decorated with pigeons of peace.
Israelis want peace, they have no interest in oppressing anyone. I don't label all Palestinians terrorists either, I label those who use terror against the civilians of the state as terrorists.
But if Palestinians choose to let terrorists represent them, they cannot expect to get anywhere (unlike you, I don't however make them fair targets for violence). The terror that Israelis use on Palestinian civilians is no-where near comparable to that on Israeli civilians. Palestinians don't choose terrorists to represent them. They refuse surrender and shame, and that is their crime.

Yeah sure the Israelis have no interest in oppressing anyone... There existence is based on oppression and the rubbles of Palestinian land.

It is just like someone I have entered and accepted into my house. Then one day, with support from a foreigner, he turned on me taking over everything; leaving only the basement for me to stay in. Then killing or chaining all of those who have tried to resist him labeling them as "terrorists". Then after a while make an offer of "peace" conditioned with the point that I must accept his existence in my house? No way, I will not rest until he's out of my house and it's only his problem if I refuse to let him return again.
