Does any1 know how the pooling system will work? Will I need to go back for more interviews if i get pooled?

i would class it as a shame not to get into cambridge, but it wouldnt be the end of the world would it? ya have to remeber that there are loads of good university's out there, and if you do get rejected, likelyhood will be that they will reject you again even if you take a year out, i would just be plaesed if i get in, and indifferent if i'm not (can you tell i'm lying in that last statement :wink:

If the college thinks your application is good, but they don't have a place for you they stick you in the pool. The pool is looked at by admissions tutors from the other colleges that have places on your course.

Occasionally you get asked back for another interview at another college, or the college just goes on the information they have about you already.

If they like the look of your profile then they might offer you a place w/o further interview, however they can also ask you to come for interview to decide (around the first week of Jan).
In the worst case scenario you don't get picked from the pool by any college and it is a rejection.

When any of my family seek to ask about Cambridge I feel like tearing their throats out. I just wanna be on my own with this, and if I get in, I only wanna celebrate with my friends. :smile:

i just know my mums gonna wake me up really early because we usually get our post by 7:30. doesn't she know i need my sleep before new years eve?!?!

I always thought that reapplying would seem a bit desperate. But I loved going up for interview, and I'm seriously considering reapplying. I wanted to hate Cambridge, but you can't!

Hey hells, if you did as much ' reading outside the syllabus' as i did then you'll understand why I would want to burn those books if i get rejected!!!

Did you read anything of the arch and anth reading list?? I read about 6......
