Congratulations!!! I really hope you can do it.. and now that you've got your inspiration.. go get your As! I'm really really happy for you. BTW, how many other subjects are you taking for A2?
Yeh I'm one of those weaker candidates... 6 good As 3 100%s and the rest above 90 but extremely bad interviews - I sounded stupid and uneducated. I guess it's also coz' of being educated in this part of the world. I'm in this pit of 300,000 people, no proper broadsheet newspapers.... repressive censorship.. no one who's ever been to Oxbridge in this entire country's history.... people living off oil as if it were food. I don't have all those achievements like you guys with AEAs and Duke of Edinburgh! I only have the grades, and other irrelevant things like being Head Girl and a member of the ICJ in international model united nations meetings... *sigh*.. it's quite depressing!! ANd to think I even bothered to try.... It was all wishful thinking. Now I just want to know the result and resign myself to my fate.
I'm just going to quote a paragraph of my diary here, written 4 months ago:
27th August 2003, Wednesday, Holiday near the end Cloudy turned sunny
And now, the end is near. So I face the final curtain… And it is. Correctly said, this is the end of the seemingly everlasting summer holiday. Weather’s turned cold today. The sun has already lost its glory. Tired, lazy, just like me. I’ve never felt this tired in my legs before. But still, I had to go to work. My work place has changed. Since last time I’ve typed anything on this computer, I’ve started working for A La Cart. Canning Place. That’s where I work at the moment. My dad works at that place too. I’ve never worked with anyone as close to me as my father before. And it’s fun, as it turned out to be. The dining room in the warehouse is fluctuated with Daily Sport, Daily Star and their Page 3 Girls. Boobs, sex and gossips. I wonder whose son can imagine his dad looking at double D size breasts in a newspaper. Oh, and his longsighted too. “Can’t read words anyway.” That’s what he always says. So why not just look at the pictures then. I mean, after all, those page 3 girls are good looking and sexy.
Hope that has brighten up your day a little. And can you just make sure that my dad doesn't know about this? To tell the truth, I've not read a single sheet of broadsheet for 2 years now.
