Cambridge rejections/acceptances

Heya.. Don't worry too much about it. I'm trying to feel that way too if I get rejected and I'm sure that you'll find yourself in a great university. And Germany's a lovely country yeh? So take care and enjoy the new year.

(b) Subject? f****ing Architecture
(c) Yay or nay or pooled? Nay
(d) Expected? Kinda, but thought I'd get pooled at least.
(e) Offer requirements if yay? n/a
(f) Thoughts ? Gutted. I'm off Architecture now and might go into something that'll earn me some money. Would've loved to study in England but I can't see that happening any more. At least I'm avoiding the University-Fees that way.

Thanks for your encouragement. If the Admissions office are open and decide to be nice... I may get the results tonight. Would anyone know if the admissions offices are open? I'm so far away from the UK so this is all a bit foreign to me.

i'm already a post-alevel applicant. i'd be a mature student by next year. doesnt seem like an option.

I'm not sure if they will be open. I suppose you could try phoning them , though it could be a bit expensive. E-mail is an option as well, they usually reply quite quickly, though I doubt they will tell you their decision by e-mail

Poo :'(.. I don't think I can stand here reading about how really really able people got rejected. It's really unfair and I feel guilty for wanting to get accepted so badly! I really hope I get accepted, but if I don't, I can console myself knowing that many many great people are in the same boat as me, and we'll go on to do well in whatever university we choose... so yeh Trying to think postiive.

Did you apply to other unis? If so, are you considering going to them?

well i will. i havent sofar, but only coz u dont have to apply til much later in germany (spring). cam wouldve been the british uni i wouldve paid the fees for, in germany its absolutely free...

Woah! All unis are free! Yayz.. lucky you. When I go to the UK, I have to pay about 25,000 pounds a year for tuition + accomodation. And in Malaysian ringgit (my nationality) though not where I'm living now... it's 1 pound to 6.6 ringgit. Lolz........

I didn't realise you were Malaysian. I'm Malaysian too, although I live in Australia now. It certainly is expensive studying in the UK... my information has been that it costs roughly £8,000 per annum for living expenses (accomodation, food, etc.)... is that what you're figuring?

Anyway... I hope you receive a reply very soon, although, knowing Cambridge, their admissions office will not be open to-day. I know the BGS has very limited phone hours (2 p.m. - 4 p.m.), so if I want to ring them, I have to stay up until 1 a.m. here.
