Try the OCR website for their syllabus and then compare it with the chapters in the book. Should help.

I didn't make myself clearer-i have the syllabus and compared with the book, and that increased the confusion-coz teh topics in the book seem a bit scattered, apart from waves for example. And topics like 'Electrons and photons'?! huh-electricity, with a bit of quantum phenomena, or nuclear and particle physics?! Eeeek!

The book is designed for ALL syllabus', like I did Edexcel and we don't even DO waves at AS, so I just had to ignore that entire section, and ithe book tells me to. If you look at the top of each page, it will tell you whether you can ignore the page, depending on your syllabus.

It tells you at the top of the page if you need to revise that page.

I used the Heinemann books for physics and chemistry which were quite helpful really; my chemistry teacher was even a co-author of the chemistry one! They also follow the syllabus really closely. Have a look at: http://www.heinemann.co.uk/secondary...=555&d=s&s=915
