I really dont think andy meant anything by stating they were asians, he was just stating a fact that on this occasion the mugging was carried out by people of asian origin. It he had put that it had been commited by white youths there wouldnt have been a problem, so why should there be if he mentions they were asian?

Yep just warning you guys to watch out the Asians seem to be rather organised as they carry out the large majority of the muggings. I'm telling you the facts from the stories I've heard around campus and from my own experiences.

Perhaps in other towns a nasty group of white guys is carring out muggins on students but in Nottingham it's Asian youths I'm afraid. No not all Asians will go around mugging people but it seems there's a small group of Asians who target drunk students in the Lenton/Radford area of Nottingham. Believe me, this came from the Police officer who came to our house at 3am after our mate had been mugged for the second time.

It's not just asians at all, you're just using a small amount of anecdotal data to back that up.

From a police officer, so what? There are a few ethnic groups that are involved in crime in nottingham and against students not just asians.

Exactly, I don't really understand why everyone is jumping all over me. I got told by a police officer after my friend was mugged that he believes there is an organised group of asians doing this, mainly targetting students.

I was pretty shocked that Nottingham is the 2nd worst place in the whole of the country. I know its a little shady in places, but its not that bad!

I live in West Bridgeford, which is one of the better areas of Nottingham, and I havent experienced any sort of crime in the 16 years Ive lived here. The school I went to was v.good too (not sure why they were saying all the schools are rubbish).
But I have friends that live in Lenton, and they have experience crime. You do have to be careful in the student areas outside of the universities grounds at night, because it isnt that safe.
I think alot of the crime is concentrated in St. Anns, which is a s---hole. Everyone knows this area is pretty dangerous, so its not like the general law abiding public will be shot randomly.

Don't get your politically correct knickers in a twist, if the police officer had warned me that a gang of organised white people were going around mugging people I would've written that. However it's not a group of white people doing the rounds near where I live, it's a group of Asians. Geez, everyone here is so hyper sensitive.
