Thanks for the Ema. Now, who reckons I could do that lot in a week?

AND: I'm upset that I'm not drinking pints of head with Zarathustra.

However, I would say that if you want a room in Bristol you can certainly sleep on my floor anyone. Especially attractive ladies and Camford.

WOO HOO!

Yeah hi again guys: long time no posting because I've been canoeing down the Thames (great time btw - we started at the other place, though I can call it Oxford as you'll find out...) and finished at Maidenhead because of bad weather.

I missed my offer for Peterhouse Engineering, and was summer pooled (Summerpudlian ho ho). Unfortunately my U in STEP Maths made me a fairly unattractive prospect for the other colleges, and my application has been ultimately unsuccessful.

This was really disappointing because I really looked forward to seeing all you guys (who're all really quite nice, online at least :p: ), going to formals and getting out of my massive mind on shoddy wine, and standing on broken glass in Cindy's listening to bad bad music from long long ago. Oh - and me and JHutchter would have swanned around in our gowns and stuff all the time.

That and Cantab looks good behind your letters after your name...

Anyway: I'm going to do Civil Engineering at Bristol, and I'm sure I'll enjoy it just as much, even if I won't be able to dine in oak-lined halls and just be in the most beautiful place on Earth.

Well done to the rest of you!

Good luck at Bristol! My dad went there and had a blast!

When does your Bristol term start? Coz we can get some pints of head in Bank or somewhere - no need for you to miss out just coz Cam are being silly buggers

I'm sure that it'll be great. Plus my best friend's going there next year (deferred Philosophy and Psychology) so it'll be difficult to actually do any work in between the making of one White Russian and the opening of a bottle of Leffe.

Right... now off to browse the Bristol forum and see if it's anything like as mental as this one :P:

Bank? Umm, the term starts at the same time as Cam as far as I know. It just lasts longer (though we get two weeks of freshers madness as I understand it). PM me, though I'm going to Reading.
Never mind Stevee you'll have a great time regardless of where you end up. Good luck at Bristol, i've several friends going there and i wish you all the best.

See you at Cam for the postgrad?

Well I'm joining the Army, so I'll be going to Sandhurst. After leaving the Army (in about 8-10 years time) it's possible that I might do an MBA, but by that time I doubt the Cambridge Experience would hold much for me - I'd be too old to go to Cindy's, and although I'll still be getting utterly out of my mind in Pubs and Clubs and eating Burgers with too much Burger Sauce on them as I stumble home... I might have grown up a little bit at least.

Then again I am about as mature as a twelve-year-old at the moment, so I might have a mental age of 19 by then.

... which is pretty useful for the 'hacks' some people are planning to do  Have fun in Bristol!
Good luck Steveee, my bruvr went to Bristol, and loves it. Also, loads of my best friends are going there, too. You'll have a wonderful time. Take care xx

The Conditionals:

notyourpunk (one pint maximum; offer only available on Jesus college premises)
werlop (milk only)
finnishguy (if he can use the opportunity to convert mb)
Pixel_fairy#1 (if it costs less than 10p)
adampogonowski (seems to imply the need for some kind of symbiotic pint-buying relationship)
Lau200 (another of those 'reciprocal relationship' ones)
-mb- (clearly wants something in return. possibly sexual favours. get him intoxicated to discover more)
epitome (if jacob can catch her. she's small but can be vicious- try a net. I am willing to help with this )
pinkpig (jacob has to be nice. bad luck)
sonja (jacob must wait until '06)
darkenergy (only if he doesn't become blind, and jacob doesn't turn invisible)
coldfish (wants the same in return therefore creating a pointless deal)
groovy_moose (only if jacob will pay her for it, therefore...see above)
FoxyStar (especially if jacob buys her a Dom Perignonm, but it's implied that this may not be strictly necessary)
mortalcoil_664 (if only he knew who jacob was...)
emilie87 (cider only)
Gemini (again with the wanting something - a pint, of course - in return)
Reema (will get jacob something, but not beer...because she doesn't like the smell of lager  )
petemc256 (wants four in return)
jd27 (jacob must find him first)
Gordon Gordon (requests permission to be sanctimonious about it)

Very witty.

Even if partly at my expense expense! I should clarify, that I meant "no such thing as a free beer" in a purely economic sense.
