Hi, I just got accepted into the Queen Mary's Foundation Course and just might be going in September (2010).

I hope to find some opinions and comments regarding whether this is a good choice, whether the accommodation is good or bad etc etc. as I am pretty nervous about this decision.

Thanks guys :yep:

Hi,

I am a student in the Science and Engineering Foundation Programme (SEFP) at QMUL. This week is the introduction week, but I am ill so I cannot participate. Next week classes will start and I will have to make up for what I have missed this week. The most important thing for me is the mathematics diagnostic exam, which is held today, Wednesday morning or afternoon.

I am afraid of this test as I have never done any mathematics exam in English. As I will have to sit it next week, I would like to ask anyone who is in the SEFP, too, to tell me what the test will have been like when he/she has taken it today.

Please, do tell me which questions you have had (algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus etc) and describe the tasks with its details if possible. I am really frightened and would be sincerely grateful for any hint to be able to prepare myself well.

Good luck for your exam, and thanks so much!

PS to the thread starter: Believe me, it's a great course and you have made an excellent decision indeed!

the sefp is thats the foundation you are talking about is pretty good! I missed my grades by a bit and so decided to take it last year and im glad I did as I'm quite lazy so i helped me get into the uni lifestyle! And know am in a mathematics course (feel quite lucky!)

Quite a few students also use it as a gateway to enter other unis aswell (you have to aplly through ucas again!)

You have to apply through ucas and this should give you more information

good luck guys its a great course and worth it
