Why do you need to do A levels instead of Highers?
Langside college in Glasgow do A level music, so they might do other A levels.
All of the Edinburgh private schools do A-Levels. You could of course pop south of the border for a year to do them if you really are struggling to find some.
Can't you just resit your Highers?

Yeah, why do you *NEED* to do A-levels. Want to go to uni in America or something? =S

Can you even do crash A-levels?

And how bad a guff up was it?
I know a guy who only got one C in his highers, and he only got rejected from one uni this year.
If you're going into sixth year, just take some new ones and work hard.

Was just going to point that out!
Telford College in Edinburgh offer Chinese (Mandarin) as an A-level but that's it as far as I can see! It looks like it's going to be pretty tricky to find somewhere in Scotland that offers them - could you really not do Highers or AHs maybe instead?

Believe you can - know a few people in England who've done A-levels in 1 year. Also, if you'd got even a poor grade at Higher then you'd probably be above AS-level standard anyway so I guess the A-level wouldn't be too bad.

A lot of (particularly private) schools all across Scotland give you the choice between Highers and A-levels. There's a college up my way that does some A-level courses. I imagine you should check their prospectuses (prospecti?)

It's always nice when people start off threads with specific questions about their own life, but don't seem to bother making subsiquent posts, or even reading the thread ever again!
My old school did them (a private Glasgow school) and places like Fettes and Gordonstoun do them.
